OA Labs explores sounds you can’t get anywhere else. Less about remaking the classics, more about hybrids, odd combinations and new angles: whatever it takes to get somewhere unfamiliar.

Originality first

The world doesn’t need another wavetable synth or another compressor. OA Labs makes instruments that don’t quite exist yet, and they usually begin by combining things that weren’t meant to meet: a synth that ages as you play it, a degradation suite where one fault fires and every module answers.

An idea comes first, a specific sound or feeling, and the instrument is built to express it. If something doesn’t serve the idea, it doesn’t go in.

Every product carries its own idea

OA Labs is the workshop; the products carry the ideas. Each one has its own thesis, and products that share a world, a sound and a look, form a line. A new idea gets a new line rather than being bent to fit an old one.

How the work gets made

• Cut what doesn’t earn its place. Narrow, don’t accumulate. Knowing when too much is too much is the whole discipline.
• Clarity over more controls. When something is unclear, the fix is usually a better name or a better layout, not another knob.
• Approachable and deep. Deep enough to explore for months, immediate enough to play in seconds. No manual required.
• Made from a point of view. Built to a vision and a taste, not to a spec sheet.

Built to stay in your projects

Updates never move a control your saved automation points at, and new features never change how your existing presets sound. A project you save today opens the same way after every update.
